Sound absorbing wall art for Parkteatret

Parkteatret, the renowned bar and concert scene at Grünerløkka, Oslo, approached byHands a while back with a pressing issue: the walls were boring and empty causing poor acoustics in their bar area. Robin Snasen Rengård accepted the challenge, and together we teamed up with Tuyo, a Gjøvik based design duo specializing in sound absorbing high quality wool panels.

Robin created eight distinctive artworks, tailored to the venue's ambiance. The artworks are all soundwaves derived from songs with themes related to the venue Parkteatret, see list below. Not only do these visually captivating images enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space, but they also successfully resolve the acoustic challenges that previously plagued the bar.

Thanks to Tuyo for the collaboration and the team at Parkteatret for a fun project!
