Martina by Darling Clementine

The Trondheim based brewery E.C.Dahls has since 2016 developed several speciality beers for commercial sales. A prolonging of this is a series with non-commercial experimental beer, produced in very limited quantum; Experiment beer. This beer is as the name insinuates, a beer were Head Brewer Wolfgang Lundell can do what ever he wants, just as long as it´s not conventional.

The very first experiment beer was «Kyoto», based on the drink Kyoto with ingredients such as lemon, dry gin and passion fruit. Sandra Blikås got the challenge to develop a label to fit the story behind the beer, no other brief. It ended up with five different labels, and a poster series.

Experiment beer number two, in 2017, is a dark beer with ingredients such as cocoa beans and chipotle, named «CCCP». Børge Bredenbekk made a suitable botanical artwork.

The lates experiment beer, «Martina», is a tribute to the Head Brewer´s wife, Martina. She grew up on a wine yard in Croatia and loves wine. The beer «Martina» is simply therefore a «beersecco», prosecco like beer! Darling Clementine got the very nice task to develop the artwork for the label and poster for this experimental beer, capturing the essence of Martina. The result is simply smashing, and we are SO ready for summer!
