Måløy Mural

For this huge mural at Vågøy secondary school Anette chose to use animals for the main task of the project; communicating unity and diversity.

The different animals have feelings, personality and character, and are as colorful and quirky as we expect fro Anette. The different species shows a camaraderie - a subtle little nod to us humans. They are engaged and share a love for for both the planet and all human beings, communicating themes like environmental protection, commitment, love, equality, friendship and freedom.

Here you can see the crocodile and the duck kiss without anyone thinking its strange, the bear is the one carrying the rainbow, and the bird has a particular strong and relevant message: black lives matter.

The school yard should be a room for reflection and engagement, and we belive that Anette Moi has successfully managed to communicate these values. The messages are clear without pointing a finger on right or wrong or being too polarizing.

Thanks to initiator, Tone Andal, for involving us in her long time street art project at Måløy. We are proud and happy to be a part of this important and lovely initiative.
